Hi! I dropped my iPhone 8 this morning on hard ground. In the afternoon, when I tried to take a picture or opening the camera app, a black screen just pops up. I tried to turn on the flashlight too but when I press the button it would just go on and off in like one second. I think both cameras are not working because when I try to take a picture with the front camera there is also a black screen. When I go on Snapchat it would say no access to camera or something like that. I checked the settings and the app does have access to the cameras. I tried force closing the app and shutting down my phone but nothing works.

Customer Fault Description:

My SAMSUNG Galaxy S8 just randomly stopped charging via the charging port via the official fast charger / fast charger cable.

If I plug the cable into my computer the phone will charge but only on slow charge. The computer will not recognize the phone, so data transfer is not possible. Different charger blocks with USB-C Cable also won’t charge.

Official charger block / Different charger block with micro-USB to USB-C adapter won’t work.

I have no idea what to do with this problem. It does not seem like the connector is completely busted as it still charges when connected to a computer. Can you replace the charging port on the Samsung galaxy s8?

I have changed the lcd screen on my sony xperia z5 premium because it was cracked. When I first tried the lcd screen it was fine and it worked. Then after a while, the backlight didn’t work. The screen works and I can barely see things on the screen, but backlight is not working.

What causes the Xbox One X  HDMI fault?

The most common reason we hear is that the Xbox One X has been dropped or knocked while plugged in. This causes the HDMI cable to yank out and physically damage the port. It can also happen while plugging in the cable. The ports are quite delicate so if the HDMI cable isn’t plugged in carefully it can cause damage.

How do we repair the Xbox One X HDMI port?

To repair this fault we need to carefully strip the console down to the motherboard. From there we desolder the old HDMI port. The port is attached by 4 main holding legs that are through-hole soldered and the HDMI data pins are surface mounted so it is a delicate job. Once the old port is removed the solder pads of the logic board are inspected for damage. If the original port is really badly yanked this can cause damage to the motherboard and in some circumstances could be beyond repair (although that is very rarely the case).

Once we have cleaned up the board and prepped the solder pads for the new port we solder the new HDMI port to the Xbox One X. We reassemble the console and it goes down to our testing bench where all consoles are tested for at least 4 hours.
